The main differences and similarities
Press photography, is form of photography used to deliver news to the public. The role of photojournalist is to display the news and the facts about reality. On the other hand the art photography is defines as the “photography that is done as fine art done to express the artist perceptions and emotions that can be share with others.
Therefore the two photographs style showing the different main purposes and subjects. The press photography that captures the true pictures moments that are happening around the world.
The art photography that captures the artist feelings and emotions, that is something in real world.

The two photographs styles are very different however there are some similarities between the two press and art photography that exists. The purposes of the images are different but both are trying to tell convey their messages.
2) Is it ethical and acceptable to alter art photographs? Why? Why not?
The Two art photographs I posted have definitely altered by artists. But it is very acceptable and true that their purpose is not showing the truth. Moreover they are trying to explain their inner feelings and aesthetic sense. Thus, if artist think altering is required for showing what they want to express, there is no barrier that they can’t do it.
3) Is it ethical and acceptable to alter press photographs? why? why not?
The Press Photography case, ( journalist) codes of ethics followed by the most mainstream news media around the globe that are very strict and do not allow changes that might have an impact on the photo composition. It is because if they alter the press photographs, those photos will loose realistic which is the core meaning of press photo: as well as photos will loose their credibility.
